Abstract

The lack of control regarding prison centers and the continuous violation of rights, referring to inmates, inside the social rehabilitation centers has led to deficient results on how people are treated. The objective of this work had as a major point, evidencing if the Ecuadorian government has adopted or not the right affirmative actions for these group of minorities to be reintegrated to society. At first, for this objective to be accomplished, a legal and practical analysis was proposed which identified the law mechanisms. The results obtained from this analysis showed a contrast between the institutional information and the reality that this group faces, which are incompatible with each other. This overview is not optimistic at all, the government should change, regarding the criminal law system, the objective of the penitentiary system and from this action, it should cocreate a politic that must prioritize the reintegration of this group.
