Abstract

THIS PAPER CARRIED OUT A CRITICAL ANALYSIS, IN ORDER TO RESOLVE WHETHER THE RATIFICATION OF THE SINGAPORE CONVENTION WILL BE BENEFICIAL FOR ECUADOR. TO ACHIVE THIS, DOCTRINAL DISCUSSION AND INTERNAL ECUADORIAN LAW WERE USED. THE RESULT OF THIS INVESTIGATION DETERMINED THAT THE RATIFICATION OF THE CONVENTION COULD OFFER BENEFITS, BUT IN ORDER TO ENJOY THEM, CERTAIN PROBLEMS THAT THE INSTRUMENT PRESENTS MUST BE RESOLVED.
